We’ve said, “Yes!” to God, rolled up our sleeves, packed up our few belongings and have gone out to the nations….well, Thailand anyway.
Dana’s longtime friendships and past history with YWAM Thailand have inspired our main goal to be a support, a help, and an encouragement to our friends and other missionaries who are already hard at work here spreading the hope and love of the gospel. Our heart is to be like Aaron and Hur holding up Moses’ hands when he was weary of the battle ( Ex. 17:12-13), encouraging and inspiring them, and others, to “…STAND FIRM. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” (1 Cor.15:58)
We are certain that God has led us, like Abram in Genesis 12, to “Leave your country, your people, and your father’s household and go to the land I will show you.” Truly, most mornings we wake up not knowing what God will unfold for us from one minute to the next. We walk by faith each day, believing that everywhere we step foot, we are touching lives with the love of Christ, who is in us. Beside filling our time with studying the Thai language, we are getting to know the people in our community, and are always available to lend a hand wherever it is needed – from the practical needs met in projects to help the poor, encouraging the many Pakistani refugees, or helping friends with home repair, to the spiritual needs met thru counseling, preaching, teaching, and worship.
